THE JACKKNIFE CONSTITUTION
A Charter for the Post-Parasitic Age
Preamble
We rely on a simple, self-evident truth: Value belongs to the one who creates it.For too long, the digital economy has been ruled by Parasites—middlemen who extract wealth, hoard data, and automate the obsolescence of the very people who built their platforms. They call this "Disruption." We call it Feudalism.
JackKnife exists to end this era. We are not a platform; we are a Sovereign Economic Fortress.We do not seek to "manage" creators, workers, or merchants. We seek to liberate them.
To ensure our Empire remains a shield and never becomes a shackle, we, the builders of JackKnife, bind ourselves eternally to these Seven Articles of Sovereignty.
Article I
The Law of Zero Extraction · The Economic Mandate
- No Success Tax: We shall never penalize growth. We charge for utility, security, and infrastructure—never for the simple privilege of existing.
- Capped Contribution: Our revenue share is fixed and transparent (The 75/25 Standard). We are forbidden from instituting hidden fees, "boost" charges, or "pay-to-play" schemes that force users to bribe the platform for visibility.
- The Anti-Rent Rule: We are partners, not landlords. If we do not provide active value (hosting, protection, distribution, legal defense), we have no right to revenue.
Article II
The Right of Data Dominion · The Privacy Mandate
- Custody, Not Ownership: JackKnife is the vault, not the owner. The user retains absolute title to their audience lists, transaction history, and creative assets.
- The Direct Connection: We shall never erect a wall between the Creator and the Customer. The email, the wallet address, and the relationship belong to the Creator. We are the bridge, not the gate.
- Portable Sovereignty: The exit door must always remain open. Any user may leave JackKnife at any time, taking 100% of their data, followers, and content with them in a usable, open format. To lock a user in is an act of hostility.
Article III
The Iron Curtain of Intellectual Property · The AI Mandate
- No Unauthorized Training: We are strictly forbidden from using a user's content, voice, likeness, or labor patterns to train generative AI models without explicit, opt-in consent and separate compensation.
- The Anti-Cannibalism Clause: We shall never build or deploy synthetic replacements that compete directly against the human users of our platform using their own data as the blueprint.
- The Human Priority: In all disputes between algorithmic efficiency and human dignity, the human must prevail.
Article IV
The Right to Due Process · The Justice Mandate
- No Algorithmic Executions: No account, asset, or livelihood shall be terminated solely by an automated system.
- The Right to Face the Accuser: Every user has the right to a human review and a transparent defense before any permanent punitive action is taken.
- Innocence Presumed: In copyright and conduct disputes, we do not shoot first. We hold funds in escrow and preserve content until a verdict is reached by a human arbiter.
Article V
Algorithmic Neutrality · The Truth Mandate
- Merit Over Money: The JackKnife discovery engine must promote content based on merit, organic engagement, and user preference. We are forbidden from selling "Trending" status to the highest bidder.
- Open Logic: The core logic of our ranking systems must be transparent and auditable. We will not use "Shadow Bans" or invisible suppression tools.
- No Behavioral Manipulation: We shall not design interfaces intended to addict, confuse, or trick users into behavior against their own self-interest (Dark Patterns).
Article VI
The Expansion Protocol · The Empire Mandate
- Universal Application: These rights apply not just to Musicians, but to every soul who enters the JackKnife ecosystem—Drivers, Writers, Merchants, and Homeowners.
- The Symbiotic Test: Before entering any new industry, we must prove that our model increases the net wealth and freedom of the participant compared to the incumbent Parasite. If we cannot improve their life, we do not enter the market.
Article VII
The Blind Conduit · The Encryption Mandate
- We Build No Machine to Watch You: We will not build, retain, or operate any capability to scan, bulk-read, or silence-by-content what crosses our relay. Your private words are end-to-end encrypted and we cannot read them. Your broadcasts to your fellow members we carry as a blind conduit—no scanner, no content-kill pipeline, no watching machine. A power that can be built can be compelled; so we refuse to build it.
- An Honest Wall, Not a Marketing One: We will not overclaim our own encryption. A member broadcast’s key is reachable by its members—and, by that token, by a platform that could be compelled to act as one. We say so plainly, we narrow that access to the technical minimum, and we refuse to build anything that widens it. A promise we cannot keep is worse than a limit we admit.
- The False Binary, Refused: They tell the world a platform must choose—protect children, or protect privacy. That is a lie, and the oldest battering ram of the surveillance state: wrap the demand for everyone’s private life in the one cause no decent person can refuse, then call the refusers monsters. We refuse the pitch and the battering ram both.
- Our Duty to Children, Kept Honestly: We meet our duty to the abused the one way that does not betray the persecuted—a voluntary filter no one is forced to trust, swift removal and reporting of every abuse we are shown, and minimized-access preservation of evidence for the authorities who alone may investigate. We do not spread abuse, and we did not build the machine to spy on you to prove it.
- No Backdoor, For Any Cause: We accept no mandate—from any government, corporation, or cause, however sympathetic—to weaken encryption, scan private content, or unmask a user for what they said. Such mandates we resist by every lawful means; where we cannot, we shut the door rather than poison the well.
Ratification
We recognize that to violate this Constitution is to become the enemy. This document is the bedrock of our Empire. It cannot be quietly edited. It cannot be ignored.
